Alteredcycles™ is a hand-made frame shop specializing in lugged and fillet brazed steel bicycle frames offering custom geometry, frame selection, and finishing options. All frames are one of a kind and hand built to order for each customer.

I am in business because I believe in and enjoy providing a superior product that will last a lifetime, and truly love to see a satisfied customer ride one of my bicycles. "I attended United Bicycle School in Ashland, Oregon where I got my initial hands-on opportunity to put into practice all of the theories of frame design that I had learned through the many years of riding and volumes of reading! That sparked the idea of ALTEREDCYCLES and in 2007 the journey began. I have been crafting handmade bicycle frames out of my warehouse studio space in Sellwood ever since. I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner! On the side, I wrench at a bike shop here in Portland to keep me fresh and to keep my hands on the component end of the industry which helps with spacing and compatibility issues that may arise during the building process.

I ride one of my custom built frames daily and it is better than anything I have ever dreamed. It’s unbelievable how it feels to ride a bike that is custom fit for you! Mass manufacturers only build frames for 5 +/- body sizes/types......look around......there are more than five different body types if you look at femur length, torso length, reach, shoe size, etc.
My goal is for every one of my customers to be able to enjoy the feeling of a bike that truly fits!
